Asma Jan Muhammad is a Chartered Accountant from Pakistan and England & Wales and currently works as Finance Director at a local conglomerate in UAE. In her 20 years of professional career in a male-dominated finance profession, she has created her name and added value to leading multinational and local groups such as GlaxoSmithKline Pakistan, Lakson Group Pakistan, Caribou Coffee Al Sayer Retail Establishment UAE, McDermott International Inc. Dubai, Jamal Al Ghurair Group of Companies Dubai and WFC Holding Group.
Throughout her school and college life she endeavored to achieve top positions to empower herself. She secured two gold-medals in CA exams and also became the first overseas recipient of the “CA Woman of the Year 2019” award conferred by the President of Pakistan in recognition of her services to chair managing committee affairs of 1,000+ CA alumni of Pakistan based in UAE. Berkeley ME also awarded her with “The Most Professional Woman Accountancy 2019”.
Asma is a mother of two kids. Despite continuing a challenging profession and family life in terms of time and efforts, she is also giving back to the community by volunteering as editor of monthly periodical of Pakistan Association Dubai. She has been speaking for women related causes from Berkeley ME’s platform and is also a mentor for community women seeking professional advice in business startups facing financial challenges.
